Can't remember a song name from 2004/2005/2006(?)?

I first heard the song probably in the fall of 2005, and remember really liking the imagery. It talked about the snow, and the story was basically the singer is in the snow and is waiting as riders are coming up behind him. He basically concludes that he is going to stand his ground and not run away. The chorus invoked a saint (perhaps saint Peter), but I really can't remember anything else. It was a great song, and I'd like to hear it again if I can remember it's name. It was indie rock style, kind of folky. Any help would be appreciated!
