How to find nirvana without conforming to religion?

Everyone has an opinion about their religious veiws, or faith of god. I say why cant we know that jesus saved all of us, and that the path to enlightenment is by following the 8 fold path, and that all suffering can end in nirvana. Let us all come together to reject all religions and only follow their teachings, so as not to worship false gods, engraven images, and to better the world by bettering ourselves.
