Going tanning with my friends...... I'm a red head?

Well the first thing i wanted to know is.... me and my friends are 12 years old.. will we need a parent to go in with us? cuz we were planning on going just as a group. They go tanning all the time but i don't, i've never been tanning. I am very light skinned and i always burn but last year during the summer i got a little tan. Could i go tanning? like in the tanning beds? i asked Richie how long she usually stays in there and she said 5 or 10 mins. She's a blonde and i heard it was hard for blonde people to tan and not burn too.. so if she can, can i? is it any different? how long should i stay in there? I don't want to stay in there the whole 10 mins... but what about 5 mins?
