Multi-vitamin and working out?

I have been taking Men's Dietary Supplement everyday, the recommended dosage. I also try to workout everyday. I know when you take protein supplements, you take those right after your workout. but, when should I take these dietary supplements, they do not have any protein in them. Does it matter when I take them, or will my body use more of them if I take them at a certain period? It says they are time released if that is any help.
